I live in a motor home and have to cover it with white tarps to keep it cool, otherwise the AC won't cool it sufficiently. I used to use non UV tarps, but upon finding that UV tarps were available, I tried them. The non UV tarps lasted only about 9 to 12 months in the West Texas sun, rotting and splitting, requiring continuous replacement. I also have to open the door under a portion of the tarp. This would always split the tarp eventually.
These UV tarps are excellent! The have been up for a year now and are as solid as they were new. The door opening and closing under the tarp have not damaged it at all. This company's advertising is correct. UV coated tarps last and last. They are also much thicker than the non UV tarps. Would suggest that you spend to little extra for UV tarps. It will save you much as these tarps are long lasting.
