During this recent natural disaster, a lot is being put into perspective. Making you realize what you already know and that is the importance of preparing yourself and your family for ANY home emergency. Ask yourself this, are you ready for a power outage right now? Having a backup generator on reserve is the first line of defense and no one else does it better than DuroMax. Today, let us talk about their brand-new product line called the HX Series.
The HX Series is the latest and greatest from DuroMax. They manage to pack in a lot of amazing features at an affordable price point. These units are transfer switch ready and designed as a portable alternative to traditional large standby counterparts. All HX generators are powered by your choice of either gas or propane, otherwise known as Dual Fuel. I can tell that DuroMax really put a lot of thought in quality and safety, as each unit feature all copper windings and a carbon monoxide sensor, which is a huge upgrade!
The HX comes in five different variances ranging from 4,850 – 13,000 watts. In the spirit of home backup power generators, my recommendation is picking up the XP13000HX and here is why!
Knowing you can power up main essential items around the house in a time of need is a peace of mind you can’t put a price on, and the XP13000HX meets that level of security. This well-tuned machine is the flagship model of the HX Series able to provide 13,000 watts of power. This kind of power is normally found in stationary home standby generators, but this is a lot more affordable AND portable. The 500cc DuroMax engine can easily power up most household essentials such as lights, appliances, and even central A/C systems or heaters.
Having an accessible and user-friendly control panel is a must and the XP13000HX is no exception. This panel features a digital command center multimeter, push button start, and a front facing fuel interface allowing you to change the fuel type in seconds. The panel features multiple outlets including four 120V GFCI household outlets, 120V 30-amp outlet, 120/240V 30-amp twist lock outlet, and a heavy-duty 120/240V 50-amp outlet making this “transfer switch” ready. The panel also features individual circuit breakers, idle control, and a low oil sensor. SAFETY
To fully understand this safety feature lets talk about carbon monoxide (CO) that is associated with generators. Carbon monoxide is an odorless and colorless gas that can be lethal if not ventilated well. The good news is that with proper precautions, you could easily protect yourself and others from this poisonous gas. The absolute best way to fight against carbon monoxide is to simply run the generator outside at all times. A second line of defense is to stay alert with carbon monoxide detectors/sensors. This is where DuroMax’s CO Alert feature really helps with the fight against carbon monoxide.
DUROMAX HX SERIES
DuroMax stepped up to the plate and hit it out of the park with these HX units. Their progressive idea of developing power generators that are “transfer switch” ready is a game changer in the industry. Replacing expensive stationary home backup generator with a portable unit is very appealing and truly innovating in my opinion. I cannot wait to see what else DuroMax releases, whatever it may be, I know it’s going to be worth the wait and filled with awesome features.
