That’s something you couldn’t say 15 years ago, but now times have changed. Milwaukee is introducing the MX FUEL. THE biggest launch Milwaukee has had in 10 years!!!  We’ve been waiting a long time since its announcement in 2019, Like a real LONG time, but I am glad we’re finally here!

 

Their starting lineup will consist a 14" Cut-Off Saw, Breaker, Handheld Core Drill W/Stand, Carry-On 3600w/1800w Power Supply, Rocket Tower Light/Charger, and a Sewer Drum Machine W/ POWERTREDZ. All are powered by Milwaukee’s NEW industry leading lithium-ion battery packs, the MX FUEL REDLITHIUM 3.0Ah and 6.0Ah. Let's go ahead and take a closer look at each MX FUEL item. There is a lot to cover, so I'll highlight the key features along the way.

 

 

 Milwaukee MX FUEL MXF314-1XC 14" Cut-Off Saw

I was fortunate enough to have a firsthand experience with this cut-off saw and my expectations were not disappointed. As soon as I pulled the trigger and felt the massive POWER as I was cutting through concrete, WITHOUT the help of a gasoline engine. I knew at that very moment…Milwaukee revolutionized the power tool industry!

 

Full 14” Cut Capacity

14” capacity gives you the ability to cut up to 5” depths in every application and finish the job with fewer passes. A 20mm/1” arbor adapter is included to maximize versatility and prevent wasted time searching for compatible blade.

Onboard Water Connection

I've seen this core drill in action and it's very impressive. The clutch and AUTOSTOP is truly the next level of innovation. Having proper lighting in a job site is very important. Flood lights are a very common solution, but you then have to deal with extension cords. Worst case scenario is you don’t have any electricity on site, and you have to deal with towing a portable light tower. This fixes all of that! The setup is way too easy with almost no effort needed. This tower is extremely bright and easy to direct light where you need it the most.

This sewer drum machine has the power to clear roots at 200 feet! It’s able to reach a cable spin speed of 200 RPMs. Its powered by a single MX FUEL battery, which allows you to power through multiple jobs on a single charge. However, the most exciting feature is the POWERTREDZ!!! It's a lift assist system that helps haul this up and down stairs. Sewer calls simplified!

 Milwaukee MX FUEL Batteries and Charger

What makes this all possible is the battery packs…THE MX FUEL REDLITHIUM BATTERY! All MX FUEL batteries are compatible with ANY MX FUEL equipment, and you have two options at point of launch. The XC battery pack (MXFXC406) is best for maximum power and runtime. Choose the CP battery pack (MXFCP203) for handheld applications or where weight and mobility are most critical. These are high output batteries, so I could see how these could drain quicker than your other batteries in your toolbox. However, the MX FUEL charger (MXFC) could charge these battery cells from 0-100, in about 45 minutes to 90 minutes. Which I admit, is not bad for this size battery. The charger also optimizes charge rate based on battery size and temperature, providing the best combinations of charge time and pack lifespan.

 

In my opinion, the power tool industry was starting to feel a little stale. Sure, new products were coming out every year but nothing like this. This is truly a leap forward and I am positive other competitors are taking notes right now. I am very excited to see the new wave of power tools within the next few years. We will be witnessing new power tools, from other manufacturers, using this exact same technology. This is only the beginning of a brand-new category.
